“So, this happened," writes #YourShotPhotographer Bruno Leveque. "We hiked close to 2000 meters of elevation to reach a beautiful spot I discovered a few months ago while preparing for our adventure in the Alps. I also hired my brother to make sure we caught a perfect photo of the moment. Everything went as I was expecting, we even pushed a storm away to get the perfect lighting condition. I diverted her attention on a fake distant lake, got on one knee, and waited until she looked back at me full of surprise… And she said Yes!”
“Congratulations Bruno. I love #YourShotPhotographer Robert Hergenrather (@flatfeet32)’s reaction: ‘I love the shot. It envokes courage. Because I’m sure you had thought, what a long hike down it would have been if she had said, ‘No.’ Fantastic work.” — @natgeoyourshot Producer David Y. Lee (@davidylee)

You cannot be a real Vancouverite if you haven't hiked to the Lions. That's what we attempted this weekend by doing part of the Howe Sound Crest Trail... - Starting from Cypress we followed the ridge for a dozen kilometers and finally decided to stop right before the Lions for safety reasons (clouds, rain, wind and freezing temperatures) and pitch our tent on the North Summit of Unnecessary Mountain - which gave us an incredible 360 view on the surrounding environment, from Mount Baker and Vancouver in the South, to the Lions a few hundreds meters in the east, to the majestic snowy Mount Garibaldi in the north and finally an incredible view on Howe Sound in the West!

There’s two ways to get to this view:
1. The easy way - take the gondola up to the top
2. The hard way - hike up the challenging Sea to Summit trail, 7.5 kilometres up and over 900 metres elevation gain.
Which way would you prefer to tackle the @seatoskygondola? #VancouverTrails
